Morocco is negotiating with the Israeli IAI to acquire the Barak 8 anti-aircraft system.

This was preceded by the official visit of Moroccan Defence Minister Abdellatif Loudiyi to Israel in November, where he signed a cooperation agreement on intelligence and arms exchange.

The Barak 8 missile is about 4. 5m long, develops a maximum speed of Mach 3 and achieves a maximum range of 70km. The users of the Barak 8 are Israel, India and Azerbaijan.
