Saudi minister of culture meets with UNESCO’s director general
They met on the sidelines of the 45th extended session of the World Heritage Committee hosted by Saudi Arabia
The Minister of Culture, Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, met with the Director-General of the UNESCO, Audrey Azoulay, on the sidelines of the 45th extended session of the World Heritage Committee hosted by Saudi Arabia.
During the meeting, which took place on Sunday, the Minister of Culture welcomed UNESCO’s Director General to Riyadh, praising the efforts exerted by UNESCO in preserving and protecting heritage.
The Minister of Culture expressed the Kingdom’s interest to host the next UNESCO World Conference on Cultural Policies and Sustainable Development (MONDIACULT) scheduled for 2025.
During the meeting, aspects of cooperation between the Kingdom and UNESCO in preserving and protecting world heritage were reviewed.
The Minister of Culture affirmed the Kingdom’s continued support for the projects and programs proposed by UNESCO.
