Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman first received the Omani delegation, headed by the deputy prime minister, before welcoming Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoim, vice president of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai to the Saudi capital.
The crown prince then received Kuwaiti Crown Prince Mishaal Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and King Hamad of Bahrain on their arrival in Riyadh.
The session is expected to discuss the implementation of King Salman’s vision that was endorsed by the Supreme Council in 2015 and the decisions made towards realizing joint Gulf integration and cooperation, state news agency SPA reported on Tuesday.
“In addition to enhancing Gulf cooperation in all fields, realizing the aspirations of citizens of GCC and whatever that can achieve the welfare and prosperity for GCC countries and citizens under the wise directives and visions of GCC leaders,” SPA added.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, said on his Twitter account ahead of arriving in the Kingdom: “We need a strong start for our fifth decade of the GCC’s journey. Our people look forward to both economic and developmental integration.”
“Our nations’ people are looking for real cooperation that involves depth and they are expecting from our meetings in Riyadh results that will help transform our cities in terms of growth, prosperity and progress,” Sheikh Mohammed, who on his way to Riyadh, wrote.
