A car booby-trapped with explosives caused terror and death in the Iraqi city of Basra.

According to the Russian news agency Sputnik – citing the al-Sumaria television network – the explosion occurred in front of a restaurant, very close to the city‘s hospital.

Photos and videos released shortly afterwards show the burning vehicle and thick smoke billowing from behind the hospital.

According to reports, the explosion in Basra resulted in the death of at least 7 people.
