Roketsan continues to create new battlefield concepts with the new technologies it has developed. CAKIR, the new cruise missile that can be launched from fixed and rotary-wing aircraft, TIHA/SIHA, SIDA, tactical wheeled land vehicles, and above-ground platforms;
The missile offers a solution to deal with land and sea targets, Roketsan said. With a range of over 150 kilometers, CAKIR’s objectives include surface targets, near-land and surface targets, strategic land targets, regional targets, and caves.
The CAKIR missile has an internal and national turbojet engine KTJ-1750, developed by Kale Arge. CAKIR can easily perform tasks involving three-dimensional turning points identified during mission planning. The missile offers a high ability to destroy targets with its choice of hit point target and its unique warhead [High Explosive Semi-Penetrating Particle Thermobaric Effect]. With its advanced intermediate stages and guidance systems, CAKIR can hit its targets with high accuracy in all weather conditions.
Thanks to the data network connection, the rocket can change the target or cancel a task depending on the user’s choice as it progresses towards the target. The most remarkable features of CAKIR are its design, which allows multiple types of transport on the platform, and its ability to perform tasks in the herd concept. With the swarm concept, it is easier to overcome the enemy’s defense systems, providing high efficiency for one or more purposes.
CAKIR offers high survival thanks to its unique body design with radar absorption function. In addition to its ability to fly very close to the surface of the sea and the ability to disguise land on land, it minimizes its detection by enemy air defense systems with its radar-absorbing body structure. With its mute-resistant GNSS and altimeter-supported inertial navigation system, it can continue its course in cases of intense electronic jamming.
The first test launch of the rocket is aimed at 2022, and the integration of the platform is aimed at 2023.
