DUBAI: Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, reaffirmed the UAE’s support for the Palestinian cause at the Negev Summit, which was held in Israel on Sunday.

Speaking at the event, Sheikh Abdullah said the summit allowed participating countries to exchange their views on the latest regional and international developments, including the situation in Palestine.

In a statement, the foreign affairs minister explained that the UAE was committed to supporting the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights, especially in establishing an independent state based on the pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Sheikh Abdullah also added that the UAE will continue to provide support to the Palestinian people through relevant United Nations agencies.
