We recall that on Tuesday afternoon, Russian forces entered the town of Kherson, but the Ukrainians still controlled the local administration building, an adviser to the Interior Ministry, Vadim Denisenko, said on television.

Cherson is a city of strategic importance as it is located above Crimea and its occupation now secures the peninsula from the North.
