Fourteen people died in a military helicopter crash in Azerbaijan today, the State Border Service and the Prosecutor Generals Office of Azerbaijan said in a joint statement.

The joint statement noted that the helicopter crashed this morning at Garaheybat airport in Khizi district during a training flight.

Fourteen people were killed and two wounded,” the border agency later said, noting that all the victims were soldiers.

According to the Azerbaijani authorities, an investigation is underway into the cause of the helicopter crash.
