Russia‘s Defence Ministry announced that the country‘s Navy will conduct exercises in all areas of responsibility of its Fleets and in cooperation with China and Iran.
These exercises, it was announced, will take place in January and February.
“The Russian Navy will conduct a series of exercises in all areas of responsibility of the fleets,” the ministry said in a statement.
More than 140 warships and vessels, more than 60 aircraft and about 10,000 military personnel will participate in the Russian Navy exercises, the ministry added.
At the same time, it was announced that the joint naval exercises between Russia, China and Iran will take place from 18 to 22 January in the Gulf of Oman.
“From January 18 to January 22 this year, the Russian-Chinese-Iranian naval exercises are continuing in the Gulf of Oman and the airspace above it,” it said.
