The Virginia class, also known as the SSN-774 class, is a class of fast-attack cruise missile nuclear-powered submarines. They are designed for a wide range of open-ocean missions, including anti-submarine warfare and intelligence gathering operations.
The Virginia-class submarine USS Missouri is 114. 8 m long, 10. 36 m wide and has a displacement of about 7,800 tonnes, and can reach a top speed of 28 mph (45 km/h). It has a crew of 132, including 15 officers and 117 enlisted men.
