Saudi FM says he looks forward to consolidating partnership with China
Prince Faisal discussed Iran’s nuclear program and negotiations to revive nuclear deal with counterpart
RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister said he looked forward to consolidating the Kingdom’s partnership with China during a visit to the country on Monday.
Prince Faisal bin Farhan said he held an intensive meeting with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi during which the two officials discussed strengthening the strategic relationship between their countries.
They also discussed “coordination in various fields of cooperation and joint work,” and strengthening security and stability in the Middle East.
The Kingdom’s foreign ministry said that Prince Faisal discussed Iran’s nuclear program and international negotiations to revive the nuclear deal with Wang.
The officials also touched on the importance of supporting everything that guarantees security and stability in Afghanistan, and exchanged views on regional and international developments.
They also discussed ways to develop the strategic friendship between the two countries through the high-level Saudi-Chinese Joint Committee and its work, coordination and strategic planning in various areas, in light of the Kingdom’s 2030 vision.
